You teach your kids to share, but sometimes they share things you don't want them to. Like colds. Ugh. Zach's cold moved to Ivy & now to me. I was wondering why I was so, so tired.That awful chest congestion. Darn it, I quit smoking, I should breathe easy every day, (at least in my world.) I hate it when the universe doesn't behave, it needs a time out. I have been working on my Christmas letter today. I have been waffling though on delivery. I feel bad because I want to be more eco-friendly, but there is nothing quite like getting a Christmas card in the mail. Digital cards just aren't the same.
As you may have noticed, I have done some major adjusting of the posts. I realized I had way too many tags, so simplified/condensed them to hopefully be easier to use. If you find you think there should be a different tag, (for if you want to go back to a post later,) please let me know.
I made meatloaf & roasted root vegetables for dinner tonight. For tonights roasted vegetables, I preheated the oven to 350. Peeled & cubed: sweet potato, potato, parsnips, rutabega, turnipcarrots & onion. Tossed with olive oil, garlic. salt & pepper, laid out on baking sheet & covered w/ tinfoil, then baked til fork tender, I think about 30 minutes.
Day 7: I am thankful for my freedom. Freedom of speech, of religion, of choice, of being me. I am truly thankful for the choices I am able to make everyday & being able to live my life as I see fit. I know we are truly fortunate in this country & that is why we give so much to it.
